July to early September, when the meadows are green, the lakes have thawed, and the high passes are clear. This is the only reliable window for the full trek.
It is a moderate-to-challenging trek of around 6–7 days with several passes above 4,000 metres. Basic hiking fitness and some prior trekking experience are recommended; our operators grade each departure so you can pick the right one.
