By using Inventravel's website/app or booking through Inventravel, you consent to the collection, use, storage and transfer of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are & Scope
Inventravel operates as a travel-tech aggregator/facilitator — we help travellers discover and book fixed-departure group tours, immersive travel experiences and travel packages offered by third-party tour operators and service-providers ("Operators").
Our platform (website/app) and associated services ("Services") allow users (travellers) and Operators to interact — including searching for tours, booking, payment facilitation, and communication.
This Privacy Policy applies to any personal data you provide to Inventravel (directly or via the Services) — including when you create an account, request a booking, make a booking, communicate with us, or browse/use the platform in other ways.
2. What Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Inventravel, we may collect the following categories of information:
A. Information you provide directly
- Personal details: name, email address, phone number, address, date of birth or age, gender, passport or national ID/passport number (or other identity details required for travel), date of birth of co-travellers, contact information, emergency contact, etc.
- Booking / travel details: chosen tour/package, trip dates, destination, number of travellers, special requests (dietary preferences, accessibility needs, medical conditions, mobility issues, pregnancy/disability disclosures, traveler-specific declarations), travel history.
- Payment information: when facilitating payment, info such as card/bank/UPI details (processed through secure payment gateway or licensed partners).
- Communications: any messages, queries, feedback, reviews, photos or other content you submit.
B. Information automatically collected / derived
- Device and usage data: browser / device type, operating system, IP address, unique device identifiers, how you interact with the platform (pages visited, searches, clicks, time, geolocation — if granted), cookies / analytics data.
- Data about co-travellers or people you're booking for (if you provide their info).
C. Sensitive / special-category data (only if voluntarily provided or required for service)
Health, disability, mobility or accessibility needs; dietary restrictions or meal preferences; pregnancy; other medical conditions — only collected when essential for travel services or safety assessment.
3. Purposes for Processing & Legal Basis
We use the data collected for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account on Inventravel.
- To facilitate searches for tours/packages, process bookings, communicate with you and Operators, manage payments and refunds, issue confirmations/vouchers, itinerary changes or cancellations.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries, manage communications.
- To send you important travel-related updates: booking confirmations, itinerary details, payment receipts, operator communications, service alerts.
- To personalize and improve your user experience — e.g. showing relevant tours, saving preferences, travel history, customizing recommendations.
- To perform analytics, research and improve our platform and services (usage statistics, performance, user flow, fraud prevention, security, system improvements).
- To comply with legal, regulatory or financial obligations (e.g. identity verification, record-keeping, anti-fraud, tax / audit, dispute resolution).
- Marketing, promotions, newsletters or offers — but only if you have given explicit consent.
4. Sharing & Disclosure of Data
We may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients, when needed to provide the Services:
- The relevant Operator (tour operator / service provider) — to enable them to deliver travel services (transport, accommodation, guides, meals, etc.) as per your booking. Data may be transferred to third parties, including parties outside India, if the Operator or services are located or occur outside India.
- Payment processors, banks, financial institutions or payment gateways — to enable payment, refunds, chargebacks, billing.
- Vendors/third-party service providers engaged by Inventravel for operations (e.g. cloud hosting, data storage, customer support, document management, email delivery, analytics, fraud detection, marketing — but only according to your preferences/consent).
- Legal, regulatory, compliance, audit entities — if required under law, or to respond to legal requests, prevent fraud/misuse, or enforce our rights.
- In case of corporate re-organization, merger, sale, or transfer of assets — we may transfer personal data, subject to maintaining privacy protections.
We do not sell your personal data to unrelated third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. Aggregated or anonymized data (that does not identify you individually) may be used for internal analytics or shared externally.
If you choose to provide us information about other individuals (e.g. co-traveller, family member, friends), you confirm you have their consent or right to provide that info, and you accept that Inventravel will treat that information as per this Privacy Policy.
5. Cookies & Tracking / Analytics
- We may use cookies, web beacons, tracking scripts or similar technologies to collect device and usage data, remember your preferences, manage sessions, and enable certain platform functionality.
- We may also use third-party analytics tools to analyze how users use the platform — this helps us improve user experience and platform stability.
- You will have the option (where legally required) to accept or decline non-essential cookies/tracking (e.g. for analytics or marketing). Blocking essential cookies may affect functionality of the platform.
6. Data Security, Storage & Retention
- We commit to using reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure or loss (e.g. encryption, access controls, secure hosting, secure payment gateways, etc.).
- We will retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected (booking, support, legal compliance, record-keeping). Once no longer required, we will delete or anonymize the data — unless required by law to retain it (e.g. tax/financial record-keeping).
- If you wish to request deletion, correction or access to your data, you may contact us — subject to any legal or legitimate constraints.
7. Consent & Your Rights (in India)
Because Inventravel is based in India:
We will collect and process your personal data only with your explicit consent (when required) — before collecting any data not strictly necessary for providing the service or required by law. This follows the principles in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or update of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request erasure/deletion of your data (subject to obligations such as record-keeping, bookings, refunds, audit).
- Withdraw consent for processing (if processing is based purely on consent and not a legal/contractual requirement).
- Opt out of marketing or non-essential communications.
- Lodge complaints or grievance (if applicable).
If you choose to withdraw consent or request deletion before a confirmed booking is complete (or when crucial for service), this may affect our ability to provide services (e.g. complete booking, payment, service delivery).
8. Facebook Data Deletion
If you have logged into Inventravel using your Facebook account, you have the right to request deletion of the data we have received from Facebook. This is in accordance with Facebook's data deletion requirements.
How to Request Facebook Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your Facebook data in the following ways:
- Through our platform: Log into your Inventravel account, go to Settings, and select "Delete Account" or "Delete Facebook Data". This will remove all data associated with your Facebook login.
- Via email: Send a request to privacy@inventravel.com with the subject line "Facebook Data Deletion Request". Please include the email address associated with your Facebook account.
- Through Facebook: You can also remove Inventravel's access to your data directly from your Facebook settings by going to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → Remove the Inventravel app.
What Data Will Be Deleted
Upon receiving your deletion request, we will delete:
- Your Facebook user ID and profile information (name, email, profile picture)
- Any data derived from your Facebook login
- Authentication tokens and session data related to Facebook
Processing Time & Confirmation
We will process your Facebook data deletion request within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete. Please note that some data may be retained if required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes) or if necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

9. User Content, Reviews & Social Sharing
If you submit content through Inventravel (reviews, photos, feedback, comments):
- You grant Inventravel a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your content (e.g. on website, social media, marketing, promotion), unless you notify us otherwise.
- You represent that you have rights to submit the content (i.e. no copyright infringement, no objectionable/offensive/illegal content, no violation of privacy or third-party rights).
- Inventravel reserves the right to remove or block content if it violates these requirements.
10. Children / Minors & Booking by Guardians
- If you are under 18, or booking on behalf of a minor/child, you must ensure you have parental/guardian consent and the authority to provide personal data.
- You confirm that any data submitted for a minor is submitted by a guardian with legal authority and consent.
- For bookings involving children/minors, additional consents may be required by Operators; Inventravel will facilitate but final responsibility lies with the submitting adult.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
- Inventravel reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. We will post the revised version on our website/app with a revised "Last updated" date.
- Continued use of the platform after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
- We recommend you review this policy from time to time before using Inventravel services or making bookings.
